Do it today not tomorrow. Marathon runner Independent National Sales Director Emeritus Yvonne Lemmon didn’t always move at a consistent pace. “I did a Power Start and a ‘power stop,’” Yvonne laughs. But after her son’s birth, Yvonne realized she didn’t want to return to her high-profile corporate position. “My Mary Kay business was the answer. I started over, with no customers or team members.”
“My vision was to be one of Independent Elite Executive National Sales Director Emeritus, Marilyn Welle-Villella’s, NSD offsprings. Mary Kay Ash’s spirit was passed on to me through Marilyn!” Because of her Mary Kay business, Yvonne was able to spend time with her children and provide incredible experiences for them. “Each year, we made new memories on family vacations because of the flexibility that my Mary Kay business afforded us,” says Yvonne. “My business gave me work and life balance for many years and fit into all seasons of my life. My Mary Kay business gave me self-confidence, a purpose and choices. I am forever grateful that I said, ‘Yes' to Mary Kay!”
The life and leadership lessons Yvonne carries with her as an Emeritus are:
- You become like the people you hang around.
- It's nice to be important, but it's more important to be nice.
- Be an energy giver.
- Every trial in life has a lesson and a blessing.
In the Mary Kay NSD Emeritus chapter of her life, Yvonne believes, “I can do anything I want. And, I will! I have two wonderful kids, Randal and Selena, and plan to travel and enjoy them.” Yvonne believes her next passion and adventure are just around the next corner and she cannot wait to discover them!
Yvonne adds, “Just because I am an Emeritus doesn't mean I am not “the Mary Kay Lady” anymore. I will always be “the Mary Kay Lady,” inside and out, and will wear that title with honor.”
