A happy
heart. Independent National Sales Director Emeritus Ann Robinette
will always remember the words Mary Kay Ash spoke in January 1974
at a small event in New Jersey: “If you become successful in Mary
Kay and lose your family in the process, don’t consider yourself
successful at all.”
It
was this priority that convinced Ann to continue building a Mary
Kay business. “My original intention was to start my business in October,
make enough money to buy my husband a surprise Christmas gift, and
get out in January,” Ann recalls. Mary Kay’s words changed her mind.
“Those words filled my
heart so full that I knew I was where God intended me to be,” Ann
says. “While enjoying my life to the fullest, I have never felt
my business was placed before my family. I have never had to look
back and say, ‘I wish I had.’ This career allows us to put God first,
family second and career third and still make it to the top.”
Ann has shared the rewards
of her business with her children and now her grandchildren. “My
business
allowed me many privileges and lots of fun things like shopping trips,
Disney vacations, season tickets to plays, and acting and singing
classes that all special grandchildren deserve,” she says. To them,
she’s the most successful grandmother of all.
