Determination and passion. Exploring cities like Austin and San Antonio, while riding Segways, makes Texas history come alive for Independent National Sales Director Lisa Allison and her family. “We love to travel!” says Lisa. “Thanks to my Mary Kay business, we don’t worry about the cost, we just go.”

Along with the travel, shopping and dining with her husband, Ron, and their two daughters, Beth and Kate, are other family activities that Lisa values. “It feels so great to live a debt-free life! We have taken our daughters to so many places we never went to as kids. I love the time to be with my family!”

However, her successful Mary Kay business almost didn’t begin. Lisa wasn’t sure if she liked women enough to build a business by helping them. Now she shares, “The most valuable things I’ve learned are how to work with people and that women are incredible and have so much heart!”

One of the most important women she’s worked with is her Senior NSD, the late Independent Executive National Sales Director Darlene Berggren. “Darlene first believed in me, and then, I knew, I could do great things with my Mary Kay business.”

Lisa’s philosophy in life can best be summarized by her favorite quote, “I can do all things through Christ who gives me strength” (Philippians 4:13). She describes her National area as the most loving, ethical, resolute women on the planet and reveals the big, bold plans they have. “My dream has always been to be the No. 1 NSD in my Seminar!”
