“I love helping women learn to dream again and not ‘settle’ for what life sends their way. ”

Global Vision. There’s nothing foreign to Independent Senior National Sales Director Pamela Fortenberry about globe-trotting to Asia to spread the word about the Mary Kay opportunity. To this National Sales Director, it’s just another day at the office. Pamela, daughter of Independent Elite Executive National Sales Director Emeritus Pat Fortenberry, set her sights on becoming an Independent National Sales Director while conducting business in Malaysia. Her message? The Mary Kay business opportunity translates in every culture and every country.

“Women everywhere can relate to our priorities of faith first, family second and career third,” says Pamela. “I love helping women learn to dream again and not ‘settle’ for what life sends their way.”

Growing up in a Mary Kay business-centered home, Pamela learned to think big and expect more out of life. She also learned the power of persistence. “I watched my mom set goals that she didn’t always reach. That’s why I am not a quitter. There are ups and downs in everything in life. And you learn from the down times,” says Pamela wisely.

She also loves the family-friendly flexibility that her business allows. As infants, both of Pamela’s children were diagnosed with cystic fibrosis, a genetic lung disease. Pamela was able to work her business around them when they were young without enrolling them in day care.

Thankfully, both are doing well now and have adopted their mother’s “can-do” attitude. “My kids expect so much out of life already. For fun, they make goal posters with their friends! They excel in everything they do because they know they can. They are the ones who have benefited the most from the power of positive thinking!” Pamela declares proudly.
