“I love my Mary Kay business because it’s allowed me to be a part of the next generation that keeps the dream of Mary Kay Ash alive.”

Igniting hope. Anyone who knows Independent National Sales Director Kristin Sharpe would describe her as passionate and determined, with contagious energy that ignites their own passion and belief.

Her mother is Independent Senior National Sales Director Connie Kittson, and the experience of growing up in a Mary Kay home prepared Kristin for her first job out of college, working for an author and speaker. Kristin learned business skills, people skills, money skills, but most importantly life skills from growing up pink! “What is caught is so much more than what is taught,” Kristin says.

Working with the Maxwell organization helped Kristin gain perspective about what an incredible opportunity having a Mary Kay business really is. “I realized that no matter how much I admired my boss or the company I worked for, I was always going to be working for someone else.” That’s when Kristin decided to pursue the Mary Kay opportunity and become her own boss. At 25 years old and single, she was able to live solely off her Mary Kay income. She knew this opportunity worked, but knew that it took work.

In less than a year after starting her Mary Kay business, Kristin earned the use of her first Mary Kay career car and became an Independent Sales Director. Eight years later and married to husband Courtney, Kristin debuted as an Independent National Sales Director. Kristin’s driving force is to ignite hope, because she knows this business not only enriches women’s lives, it affects families. Mary Kay has allowed Kristin to pass on her mom’s legacy and be a part of the next generation that keeps Mary Kay Ash’s dream alive.
