A two-million-dollar smile. Her high school sweetheart-of-a-husband, Dan. And of course, her three children. The Christmas holiday. Fried fish and french fries. These are just a few of the things that make Mary Kay Independent Senior National Sales Director Lisa Madson flash her ear-to-ear, megawatt smile.

"At first, the money made me smile, because we needed it. Now, it’s working with people and watching them succeed that gives me the greatest joy," says Lisa. "I love the fact that you cannot get ahead in this business without helping someone else first. My people are my passion!"

Though she admits to getting the "happy gene" from her parents, she credits the Mary Kay opportunity for making her even more so. "The Mary Kay opportunity took my seeds of happiness and made them grow stronger. This opportunity magnified my optimism and turned it into an asset. We all have to deal with things. But somehow, I am able to look on the bright side. If I dwelled on the negative, I never would have succeeded."

And Lisa has succeeded. In 1994, she became the No. 1 Sales Director in the Company and continued in that position until she debuted – with that two-million-dollar smile – as an Independent National Sales Director in July 2000.
