Something to believe in. With a college degree in psychology, Independent Executive National Sales Director Emeritus Carol Anton was ready to begin her career as a teacher. "I really do believe that divine intervention took place," she recalls. Instead of embarking on her planned path, she became a Mary Kay Independent Beauty Consultant — much to the surprise of her loved ones, including her husband.

"He saw Mary Kay as a hobby, not a business," Carol remembers, "and that was the challenge needed to spur me on." So she sketched out a plan to become an Independent National Sales Director in 10 years. Eighteen years later, her dream was realized.

Now Carol advises others to hold tight to their dreams. "No matter what the rest of the world thinks, stick to it," she says. "If you think big, work with purpose and commitment, and believe that you can do it, your story can be here, too."

"Today, my family and I have an incredible lifestyle, and our children have grown up with the Mary Kay philosophies and work ethic," Carol says. "We have been treated like royalty and enjoy many of the luxuries that we used to only dream about."

And now it’s on to the next challenge – something that has always motivated Executive National Sales Director Emeritus Carol Anton! “I cannot wait to see what life holds around the next bend!” Carol’s close-knit family will still be the pride and joy of her life. She also will enjoy watching her Independent Senior Sales Director daughter, Tiffany Stout, as she carries on the Mary Kay dream.
