“This success also was made possible by so many wonderful people whose success stories are all intertwined with mine. ”

The power of persistence. “There in the pouring rain I saw the height of Mary Kay enthusiasm jumping up and down.” An Independent Beauty Consultant had approached Independent Senior National Sales Director Emeritus Pam Gruber in a grocery store parking lot.

It was the persistence of that Independent Beauty Consultant that persuaded Pam Gruber to eventually become a Beauty Consultant herself. “I really valued Brenda’s persistence, for it became a tremendous lesson for me,” Pam says. “I could never get upset with her because she was never pushy or rude. She was just a constant, cheerful nudge. Brenda painted a picture of where I could be in five years, and that's what I bought – her vision.”

It took an automobile accident, the fear of doing nothing for the rest of her life and more persuasion from Brenda for Pam to finally get her Mary Kay business started. When she did, she flew to the top.

“What made the difference in my success was that I knew what I really wanted and I went after it, along with the persistence that Brenda had shown me,” Pam says. “This success also was made possible by so many wonderful people whose success stories are all intertwined with mine. Lives are being changed to this very day by outstanding women claiming their individual dreams.”

Pam is grateful that her Mary Kay business has allowed her to enjoy her retirement years with an incredible lifestyle. She and her husband separate their time relaxing between their two homes in New York and Florida.
