It’s a wonderful life. "Life was never unhappy for us, just uneventful," Independent Executive National Sales Director Emeritus Jan Harris says of her life before her Mary Kay business. "I once told my husband I wanted to be on a plane that flew over our home just to have somewhere to go. Now each time I step onto an airplane, I am reminded of that dream and vision."

Jan’s diligent work ethic helped her achieve her dream. Before her Mary Kay business, she and her husband worked several jobs to make ends meet. After becoming an Independent Beauty Consultant, she consistently held classes and attended meetings.

"I’ve seen lifestyles change with the financial rewards of this opportunity," Jan recalls. "My Mary Kay business provided a wonderful lifestyle for our family. Now, both John and I are able to spend quality time with our family."

"My lifelong goal is to teach other women how to dream and to live up to their full potential," Jan says. "In helping others, all my dreams came true!" As an NSD Emeritus, Jan believes that every single thing that happens is an opportunity to teach or an opportunity to learn. She says that lesson, learned in her Mary Kay journey, will be carried in her heart throughout the rest of her life.
