Born to Encourage. As a child, Independent National Sales Director Auri Hatheway learned the importance of strong work ethic while she helped her mom with the family business of cleaning houses. “We cleaned houses every day except for Sunday. And on Sunday we cleaned the church!” Auri shares. “It was tough work but I wanted to be there for my mom; I was her encourager day in and day out.”

Never imagining that her gift to encourage would eventually lead Auri to her Mary Kay business, she started a career as an Actuary for a Company where her primary responsibility was to calculate financial risk. “I was a tomboy who saw the world in only black and white. My formal training in math, finances and economics led me to believe that gray just didn’t exist.” That was until Auri was asked to attend an event with her future Senior National Sales Director, Dacia Wiegandt that changed her life forever.

“I never wore makeup before that event, however I tried the product that night…and signed my Independent Beauty Consultant Agreement too!” Auri realized through her Mary Kay business the strength and power of being a woman, as well as the joy of wearing makeup and feeling feminine. She is proud of the “girliness” that she exudes today and is happy to pass on her princess lifestyle to her daughter, Haley.

Surrounded by love and support, Auri gives credit to her husband Shane for always being supportive and offering her strength when necessary. “He is the love of my life and we are so blessed to have the opportunity to experience this life together!” Auri also believes that it was divine intervention that placed Dacia in her life. “We are great friends who love to work together; whatever she doesn’t think of, I do…and vice versa!”

As a “keeper of the flame,” Auri says, “I am a soul on fire and it is my goal to pass this amazing opportunity on to all that I can. I hope to show people the importance of living in their vision, and not in their reality. I am living proof that what you envision for yourself really can come true!” Today, Auri’s Driven National Area has vision beyond belief, which they look forward to making reality.
