“It’s all about the number of lives we touch and passing the torch to the next person.”

Get in the game. When Independent National Sales Director Emeritus Pam Higgs saw the Residence Square fountain in Salzburg on a Top Sales Director Trip to Austria, her heart stopped. While leading her unit to the Circle of Excellence, Pam visualized herself splashing her hands in that fountain. The vision was her motivation. The reality was euphoric.

“I believe in getting in the game – being a player, not a spectator,” Pam, who loves a challenge, says. “You’ve got to see it, taste it, feel it!”

Pam’s dreams took flight with support from both Independent Executive National Sales Director Emeritus Joanne Holman and her husband, Jerry. And, Pam’s husband, Joe, has been the wind beneath her wings.

With determination, Pam began her Mary Kay business at age 20, relying on her strong work ethic. “I feel as though I grew up in my Mary Kay business,” says Pam. With her business, Pam learned life lessons and skills such as loving herself and following her dreams.

Pam’s dreams took flight with support from both Independent Executive National Sales Director Emeritus Joanne Holman and her husband, Jerry. And, Pam’s husband, Joe, has been the wind beneath her wings.

“My mission is to help mothers be at home with their children,” Pam says. “With this business, I never missed a class party or field trip with my children, and they never spent a moment in day care.” Daughter, Heather, and son, Joey, also grew up the Mary Kay way – learning what it meant to set goals and to persevere.

“I know that I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me,” Pam says. “Mary Kay Ash was so good at keeping her spiritual perspective in front of us. It’s all about the number of lives we touch and passing the torch to the next person.” To succeed, Pam shares this advice: “Stay smart, be focused, and don’t let anyone steal your dream.”
