“I never stop believing, even when the women I mentor can’t believe it for themselves. I try to be a leader who is here for them. When you take your eyes off yourself, the blessings just pour in from all directions.”

Can do attitude. “Even when things were not going in the direction I wanted them to go, there was no way I was going to give up on my dreams. The Mary Kay opportunity allows for your determination, your productivity and your work ethic to be part of your equation to success. We all get the same pink box and it depends on you. The more you put in, the more you get out.”

Tina worked for an insurance company in the accounting department for 20 years, in credit and collections. “Although I worked with a lot of people, it was my Mary Kay business that taught me how to build relationships.” The life lessons have served me with my children and marriage, as well.”

Mary Kay® products have been a part of Tina’s life since she was 16 years old. Although she had tried Mary Kay several times, no one offered her the Mary Kay opportunity until she was 32. The moment Tina understood the power of the opportunity, she signed her Independent Beauty Consultant Agreement!

Tina loves gardening, the outdoors, listening to music and her family. Every year, a highlight for her is a family vacation to the Jersey Shore. Tina’s vision is to someday own her own shore house and share it with her husband and children, creating memories of a lifetime with the people she loves.

Tina and her husband, Chris, were high school sweethearts who’ve recently celebrated their 25th anniversary together. Their four children, Gregory, Jennifer, Danielle and Christopher range in age from 10 to 22 years. Having two children with special needs, Tina says she’s learned, through her Mary Kay business, to expect the best, even when things don’t always appear to be easy.

Tina is grateful to her mentor, Independent Senior National Sales Director Cyndee Gress. She clearly remembers a day she called Cyndee, defeated and ready to give up. Tina says, “On that day, life had knocked me down. We had just lost my brother-in-law to a motorcycle accident and my son almost lost his life to a near drowning accident and was in ICU. Cyndee gave me an out and said, “Anyone who heard your story would certainly understand why quitting could be an option.” She told me she would stand by me and support me, if I decided to quit, and then she said, “Or, you can choose to get back up one more time and let your story help someone else.” Tina says, “Cyndee has an incredible way of pulling your best self forward. She does not let you settle for anything less than your God-given potential, even when you can’t see it for yourself.”

Tina says, “I was an ordinary girl who wasn’t going to achieve much out of the ordinary. Every day, I wake up still in the body of that ordinary girl, but my Mary Kay business has taught me to stretch my mind to be extraordinary and watch, as I build a miraculous life. When you step into who you are supposed to be, no one and no circumstance will stand in your way.”
