“I’ve gone from shy to confident from a scarcity mentality to abundance mentality – now, I am not satisfied with anything less than the best!” |

Abundance mentality. Raised first by her grandparents and later by other relatives while her mother worked in the U.S., Independent National Sales Director Mirna Mejía de Sánchez learned to be independent. “Today, one of my dreams is to build a shelter in my hometown to house orphans and help educate parents.” Mirna explains. “I was blessed to be with my parents during their final years,” she shares. “I love spending time with my three sons; we enjoy movies and good times together. And now, God has sent me a beautiful granddaughter!” Mirna also is proud and happy that thanks to her Mary Kay business, her husband, Hipólito Sánchez, was able to leave his job and be by her side and with their children.
Another person who led by example is Independent Senior National Sales Director Gloria Báez, her Senior NSD, who taught Mirna to never give up. “I’ve learned patience and that comes in great measure from Gloria – her tenacity has inspired me during my journey!” Independent National Sales Director Maribel Barajas also is a special friend to Mirna. “I’ve gone from shy to confident, from a scarcity mentality to abundance mentality – now, I am not satisfied with anything less than the best. I can guide with strength. It all means that I will be able to help my area of innovative entrepreneurs who aspire to be the next National Sales Directors.” |

Mirna recalls first meeting Mary Kay Ash: “As a new Independent Sales Director, when it was my turn for my picture with her, Mary Kay asked me if she could take off her shoes. I told her ‘of course!’ Here was I this humble person being asked by the most beautiful human on earth for permission to do something! Her actions spoke so loudly.”
