“So often we judge potential on where someone is instead of where they can be. It is my responsibility to cast a vision for them and believe in them until they’re able to do it for themselves!”

A Destiny of Dreams. Before starting her Mary Kay business, Independent National Sales Director Diane Mentiply was a single mom to her daughter, Rochelle, working long, stressful hours running network operations for a global corporation. When a friend urged her to try the Mary Kay opportunity, Diane traded the big job in for a big dream.

“My entrepreneur Dad taught me that you can either wake up each day and work really hard to build someone else’s dream, or you can put your hard work and effort into your own business and wake up building your own dreams,” Diane shares. “That lesson along with my Mary Kay business has changed my way of thinking and has allowed me to think bigger for my life and the lives of others.” And by working her way, Diane has prioritized her life accordingly and grown her faith substantially.

From the Diamond Go Give Area, Diane has a strong mentor in Independent Elite Executive National Sales Director Emeritus Barbara Sunden. When Diane’s motivation was lagging a bit, it was Barbara who reconnected Diane to her leadership vision and helped her reclaim her confidence. “She is an amazing force in my life!”

The needs of others are at the forefront of Diane’s focus. “Helping women step into their own power and pursue their destiny is my greatest joy,” Diane says. She feels her gift is to look past the current reality of prospective team members and instead envision the potential success available to everyone through the Mary Kay opportunity. She shares, “So often we judge potential on where someone is instead of where they can be. It is my responsibility to cast a vision for them and believe in them until they’re able to do it for themselves!”

Diane is happily married to Ian and they enjoy traveling, watching movies, and spending time with Rochelle and Ian’s sons, Colin and Reese.
