*A Million-Dollar Sales Director is one whose sales unit has purchased at least $1 million suggested retail of Mary Kay® products for resale during a Seminar year.

“We, in the Hispanic community, will continue to uphold
Mary Kay Ash’s philosophies and the Golden Rule the way
she would have wanted.”

Discipline and passion. As the first Hispanic woman to reach No. 1 Independent Sales Director nationwide, Independent National Sales Director Paola Ramírez has overcome many obstacles, but her faith has never wavered. Growing up in Lima, Peru, Paola’s parents were always encouraging, telling her that, “Everyone is the architect of their own destiny.”

But, that destiny seemed far away. When Independent Senior National Sales Director Gladis Elizabeth Camargo and Paola first met, Paola didn’t dare to dream much. But, Gladis told her that just as she successfully sold food at ball games, she would be equally successful selling ‘nourishment’ for the skin. “I accepted the opportunity thanks to Gladis’ powerful persuasion.” Another mentor, Independent Executive National Sales Director Lupita Ceballos, also made a positive impression on Paola. “I thank Mary Kay Ash for creating this opportunity that allowed me to meet so many fine women.”

Paola is thankful for the friendships, financial abundance, and the woman she’s become, and is especially grateful for the additional time with her family that her Mary Kay business offers. “We enjoy spending time at sports and recreational events, at museums and, of course, at church. Andrés and I try to instill in our children, Jessica and Paolo, that these activities go hand-in-hand with the Mary Kay principles.”

Praising the women who have made the journey with her, Paola explains, “I named my National area ‘Changing Lives’. It’s a testimony of how God has placed exceptional people in my path. I did not meet them by accident. They have all overcome obstacles and are all brave champions.” With conviction, Paola continues, “We, in the Hispanic community, will continue to uphold Mary Kay Ash’s philosophies and the Golden Rule the way she would have wanted. Just look at how far we’ve come already.”
