*A Million-Dollar Sales Director is one whose sales unit has purchased at least $1 million suggested retail of Mary Kay® products for resale during a Seminar year.

“There’s more to the Mary Kay opportunity
than cosmetics and money. There’s an abundant lifestyle
that’s open to anyone who wants it.”

Cultivating a lifestyle. Back in the early 1990s when she was known as Kym Wells, Independent Senior National Sales Director Kym Walker and a few other lucky Independent Beauty Consultants earned the opportunity to spend an entire day with Mary Kay Ash. Lucky Kym must have caught Mary Kay’s eye because the next thing she knew, Mary Kay rearranged the seating order to sit right next to Kym. “I was so moved by her presence, I started to get teary-eyed. She picked up my hand and held it,” says Kym.

It’s a moment Kym will never forget and one that continues to inspire this Independent National Sales Director. Kym believes that Mary Kay Ash recognized her inner drive that day. Now that she is an Independent National Sales Director, she’s determined to help other women see their business options and take control of their lives. “With a Mary Kay business, there are no limits to what we can do. We can create whatever lives we want, and make life what we want it to be. There’s more to the Mary Kay opportunity than cosmetics and money. There’s an abundant lifestyle that’s open to anyone who wants it.”

Blessed with a natural drive for success and a quest for excellence, Kym set her sights on becoming an Independent National Sales Director from the beginning and pursued it until she achieved the goal. Along the way, she developed spiritually and realigned her priorities, putting God first, family second and career third.

“It’s so great to achieve success at the same time as serving God, cultivating a lifestyle with the right priorities. I was single the first 10 years in my Mary Kay business, and I’m grateful I learned about putting my husband before my business before I got married!”
