“I love my life and I love my Mary Kay!”

A Brave Heart. “I signed my Independent Beauty Consultant Agreement to get my mom off my back!” jokes Independent National Sales Director Roxanne McInroe. “I never intended to actually work my Mary Kay business until I attended Seminar; which was another thing I agreed to do so that my mother would stop asking.”

Roxanne is grateful that her mom and dad continued to push her toward success with her Mary Kay business. “Because of them,” Roxanne shares, “I have been able to live my life with my values and priorities in order. As life has happened, my business has allowed me to be flexible while providing for my sons as a single mother and pay for their college educations, as well as spend quality time with the people who mean the most to me, while not jeopardizing my income.”

Roxanne’s experiences along the way have helped her to build a National Area that she is proud to call the Brave Heart Area. “We invest our hearts and souls into others and the businesses that they are building. Our hearts have to be brave and strong because when you’re caring for others in this way, there can be some difficult situations and a lot of emotions,” she says wisely. “I cherish the esprit de corp that we have.”

She also cherishes the mentors that she has had along the way. From Independent Executive National Sales Director Emeritus Mickey Ivey, whom Roxanne admires for her leadership and describes as the “epitome of class,” to Independent National Sales Directors Jill Moore and Jan Thetford, whom she says are like her sisters. “They have been there for me throughout my journey and I can’t imagine where I’d be without their love and support,” Roxanne says.

A single mom for many years, Roxanne’s thankful that her Mary Kay business supported and inspired confidence in her adult sons Keegan and Tyson. She shares, “They were always the reason I forged ahead each day and being able to witness their success now as adults is the cherry on top of it all!” With her family by her side, Roxanne’s dream of debuting as a National Sales Director has finally come true. “I love my life and I love my Mary Kay!” she boasts.
